So does this course make me eligible to brag about my music skills or what?
In this tutorial, we discuss the topics of this course and what to expect from it. So, let's have some fun.
Hello and welcome to the first tutorial from this Advanced Music Theory course. This is a course dedicated to those of you who have a basic understanding of music and will want to impropve your knowledge.
What does basic mean? Well, you know what a music sheet is and you know how to read it. You know if you're rushing or dragging because you know what tempo is. You also know how many beats go in a measure simply by looking at the time signature of your song. You also know about tones, semitones and accidentals and many more.
In this course, we are going to be using that foundation and further build upon it. We will be taking a look at various terms that tell us how loud we should play certain notes or if the volume should go up and down in a gradual manner. We will also learn about tempo changing markers, how to modify the length of a note and many more. As I already mentioned, we will have several tutorials dedicated to each topic.
And with that, we are going to end this tutorial. In the next one, we will be discussing the topic of volume directions. See you then.
